Your MIDI stays on your Mac.
This policy explains what MIDI Toolkit does with information. The short version: it doesn't collect any.
Effective October 27, 2026
In short
- MIDI Toolkit does not collect, store or share any personal information.
- It never connects to the internet. There are no analytics, ads, trackers or accounts.
- Your settings, presets and MIDI messages stay on your Mac.
Information we collect
None. MIDI Toolkit has no servers, no sign-in and no way to send information to us or to anyone else. On the App Store it's listed as Data Not Collected.
Information kept on your Mac
To work, the app keeps a few things locally. None of it leaves your Mac.
- Settings and routing presets are saved in the app's own preferences inside its sandbox, so they're there next time you open it.
- MIDI messages you monitor or send are held in memory while the app runs and are cleared when you quit or clear the log.
- Exported logs. If you export the log as a CSV file, it's saved only where you choose. What happens to it after that is up to you.
Network access
MIDI Toolkit makes no network connections. If you set up Network MIDI sessions in your Mac's Audio MIDI Setup, macOS handles those connections; MIDI Toolkit only sees them as MIDI ports, like any other.
Third parties
MIDI Toolkit includes no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. When you download it from the Mac App Store, Apple may collect information as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. We don't receive any personal information from Apple about you.
Children
MIDI Toolkit is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. A change that affects how the app handles information would also be described in the app's release notes.
